Work Your Faith, Because Faith Works - Our Purpose/Statement of Faith - St. Albans, WV
Universal Apostolic Free Churches Of God - "A More Excellent Way"
Our Purpose

The purpose of our church is to reach the lost, wounded and hurting with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  To understand that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and in understanding this, we seek those in which God will save.

With the spirit and love of Jesus Christ we work to show men, women, boys and girls "A More Excellent Way".

In spirit filled worship and praise services, we exhort the believers to know and love the Lord in a very personal and "A More Excellent Way".

In biblical education and training, it is our goal to send out pastors, missionaries, evangelists and teachers equipped with the knowledge to save, train and help others work in the ministries of the Lord.

We will not question Love but we will prove it by our lives each day, that God may get the glory and not self.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in the unique divine inspiration of all canonical books of the Old and New Testaments, as originally given, and that they are infallible and uniquely authoritative and free from error of any sort, in all matters with which they deal, scientific and historical as well as moral and theological.

We believe in the special creation of the existing space-time universe and its basic systems and kinds of organisms in the six literal days of the creation week.

We believe in the full historical and perspicuity of the biblical record of primeval history, including the literal existence of Adam and Eve as the progenitor of all people, the literal fall and resultant divine curse on the creation, the world-wide cataclysmic deluge and the origin of nations and languages at the Tower of Babel.

We believe that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are the manifestations of the one and same God.

We believe in the perfect, sinless humanity and the absolute full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, indissolubly united on one divine person since His incarnation by miraculous conception and virgin birth. That Jesus Christ is God and in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Col 2:9

We believe in the Apostle's Doctrine which Jesus had given to his chosen disciples and had record, in the book of Acts of the Apostles to be the blueprint for the New Testament church.
 St. John 17:20: Acts 1:2

We believe that water baptism in Jesus name does satisfy the great commission, and is the only water baptism written in the scripture on and after the birth of the New Testament Church on the day of Pentecost.   Acts 2:38

We believe in the substitutionary and redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sins of the world, through His literal physical death, burial and resurrection, followed by His bodily ascension into heaven.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third manifestation of the Godhead who convicts, regerates. indwells and seals all believers in Christ and fills those who yield to Him. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to all believers; however, the manifestation of any particular gift is not required as evidence of salvation.

We believe in the future, personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth to judge and purge sin, to establish His eternal Kingdom and to consummate and fulfill His purposes in the work of creation and redemption with eternal rewards and punishments.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and final judgment of the wicked.
Rev. 21:1-22

We believe in the priesthood of all believers so that every Christian has direct access to God in Prayer through Jesus Christ, our great high priest, and that there is no mediator between God and humanity other than Jesus Christ.

We believe that God is the final judge of all mankind and also the convictor of each personal heart. Therefore we will not judge any man's salvation, but will allow God to do the separating of every man's soul.

We believe in the giving of tithes and offerings as an act of obedience, to God and the support of the ministry of the Church.
